Job Description
Senator Andy Kim seeks a driven, innovative Digital Director to join our team. This pivotal role requires a creative thinker with a strong command of digital media, exceptional video editing skills, and the ability to distill complex topics into engaging intentional content across various platforms. The Digital Director will help manage the Digital and Press Assistant and will develop a proactive digital strategy to enhance our brand identity and engage our diverse audience.
Location: Washington, D.C.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative digital growth strategies that leverage social & new media trends and opportunities for engagement, including tracking social media analytics to measure success and inform future strategies.
- Oversee Senator Kim’s online branding, ensuring consistency across all digital channels.
- Craft compelling content, including graphics, videos, animations, and copy for all social media platforms and our newsletter program. This includes streaming live events, capturing and editing photos and videos, and producing high-quality video content.
- Lead office’s outreach efforts to collaborate with content creators and organizations creating content partnerships to align with our brand, priorities, and goals. Build and maintain these relationships to expand our digital reach and impact.
- Supervise Digital & Press Assistant, providing vision and guidance on digital strategy and output.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products under tight deadlines, with a keen attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years managing an efficient digital program.
- Minimum 5-7 years developing digital content.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video production, with expertise in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects) and a working knowledge of HTML, portfolio will be requested.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visuals and narratives.
- Exceptional tech, logistical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of social media platforms, emerging media spaces and ecosystems, trending topics, and effective content strategies.
- Availability for occasional weekend and evening work to support community events and outreach.
