About the Job
Josh Kraft’s campaign for Mayor of Boston is hiring a Finance Manager to join the team. This is a full-time, paid position as an employee.
The Finance Manager will play a vital role on our team, supporting many aspects of the fundraising efforts, including overseeing our Call Time Program. In addition to managing the day-to-day logistics of Call Time, this person may also help support events, email fundraising, updating NGP, and other fundraising team activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Call Time Program: Oversee all aspects of our campaign’s call time program, including:
- Managing call time logistics
- Staffing call time, including note taking/record keeping
- Prospecting for new donors, maintaining a steady pipeline for future call times
- Preparing materials, including call sheets and donor profiles
- Pledge follow up, ensuring prompt and consistent follow through with people who have pledged.
- Fundraising support: Supporting the fundraising team with a range of vital fundraising activities, including:
- Preparing for and staffing fundraising events
- Executing email campaigns for fundraising efforts
- Maintaining and updating regular records in NGP, our fundraising database
- Track and report metrics, delivering reports to Finance Director to update on key metrics and results for various fundraising efforts
This person will be a face for the Josh for Boston campaign and must be comfortable representing the campaign at events as well as calling strangers to verify phone numbers, fulfill pledges, and solicit donations.
Candidates must have:
- 1-5 years working in Democratic fundraising.
- Familiarity with NGP or other fundraising databases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Report to: Finance Director
In office requirements: Finance Manager will work in our downtown office 3-4 days per week. The other 1-2 days, our team will work remotely.
Pay: $5,000/mo + $400/mo stipend to purchase your own health insurance
