Senator-elect Lisa Blunt Rochester seeks a Deputy Scheduler for her Washington, D.C. office. This position will report directly to the Director of Scheduling and work closely with the Director of Scheduling, Chief of Staff, Driver/Special Assistant and Administrative Aide/Assistant to the Chief to maintain the Senator’s schedule. Responsibilities include organizing and vetting incoming meeting requests and event invitations, assisting with the Senator’s daily and long-term schedules, maintaining all scheduling requests and files, and responding to and archiving meeting requests on a regular basis. Other administrative duties may be required by the daily operations of the office. Successful candidates will have excellent organizational and communications skills, be detail-oriented, and will be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have great teamwork skills and will be able to exercise discretion and confidentiality around the Senator’s ongoing schedule. The ideal candidate will also be able to stay calm under pressure and collaborate effectively with all members of the Senator’s team. Prior Hill experience and Delaware ties are strongly preferred.
