POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Specialist to support executive-level communications and to advance priorities of the Office of the Chair. Responsibilities include creating high-quality and creative communications materials, developing and executing content strategies, and ensuring effective delivery of impactful messaging to various internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong writing and editing skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute integrated communications campaigns to drive stakeholder engagement in support of the firm’s brand, thought leadership, and key initiatives.
  • Create multimedia content for the firm’s internal and external communications channels, including the intranet, newsletters, videos, podcasts, town halls, social media, website, and email marketing.
  • Draft and edit presentations, newsletters, talking points, speeches, scripts, and other communications.
  • Maintain executive communications calendar to ensure alignment with firmwide initiatives.
  • Coordinate communications with internal stakeholders including firm management, administrative department and practice leadership, and marketing and business development colleagues.
  • Develop deep understanding of the firm’s capabilities and clients.
  • Maintain consistency in messaging across platforms and ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Develop and oversee measurement and reporting program of executive communications initiatives.
  • Manage social media strategies for firm management on key platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or public relations required
  • 4 + years of experience in a marketing/communications/public relations role in a law firm or professional services firm preferred
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to the applicable local office with the ability to come into the office 3-4 days per week

Knowledge Base:

  • Knowledge of AP Style required.
  • Experience working with multiple communications platforms, including websites, intranet, email marketing, multimedia content, and social media.
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft applications.

  • Ability and confidence to identify and analyze issues, make decisions, and initiate actions/solutions.

Professionalism

  • Ability to maintain composure and demonstrate good judgment.

SALARY

New York based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $98,000 - $114,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.

The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
