The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and energetic Senior Manager of Development to support fundraising efforts that advance the organization’s mission. This role will focus on prospect research, grant writing, and donor relationship building while also playing a key frontline fundraising role at the junior or officer level. This position is based in Washington, DC, and will require collaboration across teams and with external Partners

Responsibilities
Fundraising & Donor Stewardship
§ Conduct comprehensive prospect research, identify funding opportunities, and build a pipeline of donor prospects.
§ Develop and draft compelling grant proposals and reports to support organizational goals.
§ Cultivate relationships with prospective donors, particularly at the officer/junior level, while supporting the senior team on larger engagements.
§ Manage the membership pipeline, cultivate relationships and recruit strategic new members to further strengthen the Coalition.
§ Ensure timely communication of annual membership renewals and lapsed member recruitment.
§ Increase awareness of member benefits and value of active engagement by campaign donors and prospects.
§ Evaluate and align current program offerings to meet donor and membership interest; recommend new program opportunities and member benefits, as needed.
§ Collaborate on developing multiyear fundraising goals to meet USGLC’s growth trajectory.
High-Level Events
§ Assist with planning and executing USGLC’s signature fundraising and salon events, including recruiting participants, managing VIP relationships, and supporting event logistics.
§ Support annual fundraising efforts, including table sales, sponsorships and other opportunities to maximize revenue from events.
§ Help secure sponsorships for national and state-based events around the country.
Grant Writing and Administration
§ Draft, edit, manage grant proposals, and track deadlines for grant reporting and deliverables.
§ Ensure grant compliance and reporting requirements are met, including data and narrative preparation.
Administrative
§ Maintaining accurate donor records, track benefits, and oversee donor acknowledgement letters.
§ Collaborate as a thought partner with cross functional teams to harness new member benefits.
§ Ensure proper systems and procedures are in place for fundraising database/CRM, donor pipeline and moves management system.
§ Provide leadership and support to the Development Team as needed.
Requirements
§ Minimum of 5 years fundraising experience for nonprofit in managing a comprehensive development program for advocacy and education organizations.
§ Demonstrated success in managing five figure portfolio is essential; previous experience raising corporate donations is highly desirable.
§ Experience drafting and managing successful grant proposals, including tracking and reporting requirements.
§ CFRE designation preferred.
§ Proven track record of managing relationships with internal and external partners.
§ Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills required.
§ Excellent interpersonal skills; must enjoy meeting people and elevating educational and advocacy efforts.
§ Passion for U.S. international development and diplomacy programs is a must.
§ Ability to attend networking events outside of core working hours as needed.
Compensation:
Projected salary range of $65K-$80K will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The USGLC also provides a package of generous and competitive benefits, including medical and disability insurance, a retirement plan, paid annual and sick leave, and federal holidays.
