Field Representative/Caseworker (Veteran Affairs)

Congressman George Whitesides’ office is hiring a Field Representative/Caseworker for Veteran Affairs based out of his district office in Santa Clarita/Antelope Valley region. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful. Qualified applicants will have strong communication and organizational skills, a deep understanding of veteran-related issues, and the ability to work quickly under pressure. This position also requires flexibility to work some nights and weekends when the Congressman is in Southern California and on his behalf when the Congressman is not in the district.

Daily tasks include but are not limited to representing the Congressman at veteran-related events, building and maintaining relationships with local veteran organizations, handling constituent casework related to veterans' services, monitoring policy developments affecting veterans, and supporting the district team as needed. This person will work closely with District Office staff to support the Congressman’s work in Southern California and report to the District Director.

The preferred candidate will have prior experience in veteran affairs, government, community outreach, or advocacy. Veterans and individuals with military experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
