Job Description
Representative Vasquez (NM-02) is seeking qualified Summer 2025 Congressional Interns to work out of the Washington, D.C. office.
This internship is designed for college students, recent graduates and young professionals. Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have dedication to public service, ability to multitask and attention to detail. New Mexico ties are preferred, but not required.
Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to: answering phones, greeting office visitors, scheduling and leading Capitol tours, logging constituent correspondence, drafting letters, working on research projects, and attending congressional briefings and hearings. Additionally, interns may have the opportunity to specialize in either legislative or communications related assignments, based on their interest.

Summer internships in Washington, DC are open on a rolling basis until March 15, 2025. Interns in the DC office are required to work a minimum of 30 hours a week.
