The Office of U.S. Senator-elect Ruben Gallego seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff and Scheduling Assistant in Washington D.C. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Senator’s success by managing administrative tasks and assisting with scheduling and constituent services.
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, take messages, and handle constituent inquiries efficiently.
- Assist with managing incoming mail and email, ensuring correspondence is logged and routed appropriately.
- Maintain and update scheduling databases and ensure accurate tracking of the Senator’s commitments.
- Act as a point of contact for the Senator’s staff, constituents, and external stakeholders regarding scheduling inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- A professional demeanor and discretion, especially when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
