Press Assistant/Digital Manager for Rep. Rob Menendez (NJ-08)

Congressman Rob Menendez (NJ-08) is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Press Assistant/Digital Manager in his Washington, DC office. Title and pay will be commensurate with experience.

This position will play a key role in shaping the Member’s social media presence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with the Communications Director and Member to manage all social media platforms, sending daily press clips, creating graphics/video content, drafting newsletters, working with the District Office to publicize events, and managing photography and live streaming. This is a full-time position that sometimes requires availability outside of traditional working hours to support an active press operation and execute the Member’s strategic communications plan.

This is not an entry-level position. Ideal candidates will have strong writing skills and attention to detail. Creativity is a must. Candidates should also possess the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with others and must be a self-starter. Video editing and graphic design skills are highly desirable.
