Job Description

Provide is seeking to engage an experienced and knowledgeable professional with extensive training and outreach experience and connection working in Title X Family Planning agencies to identify and train Title X sites in our project states.   

About Provide  

Background  

Provide has spent a decade building the capacity of healthcare and social service providers to provide safe, compassionate abortion referrals in the country’s most restricted access regions. We have shaped and refined the training to meet the needs of providers to have unbiased guidance and information to fight abortion stigma in an increasingly hostile access landscape. Throughout this work, Provide has maintained robust relationships with Title X sites because Title X sites have mandates that require them to provide accurate information to their pregnant clients. Provide’s current teams are engaged in other initiatives but serving Title X sites, particularly in the southeast region, is still a top priority.   

Purpose  

The purpose of this consultancy will be to generate opportunities for training within the Title X systems. The consultant will identify potential program partners and champions for the work and, in partnership with Provide staff, deliver abortion referrals training to health and social service sites. 

Process  

The process is TBD by the consultant contingent upon approval by the Senior Director of Programs. Our initial vision for the project includes the following:  

  • Discovery Period: Review Curriculum and materials, learn how to do a training 
  • Planning Period: Conduct landscape research, identify target states, and create outreach plan 
  • Outreach and Training: conduct outreach, schedule and conductive training 
  • Scheduled Check-ins: Structure and frequency TBD 

The engagement will require a mix of remote and in-person work. All trainings should be delivered in-person if circumstances allow.  

Timeline 

6 month contract 

Deliverables 

  1. Delivery two regional trainings in each target state, 5-15 sites per training (delivered with Provide Staff) 
  2. Identify 3-5 potential program partner per states 
  3. Identify 2-3 trained sites per states for technical assistance delivery, 
  4. Identify key messages that incent participation and engagement in the family planning system 
  5. Documented Outreach Plan  
  6. Biweekly Project Updates  

Budget 

The budget for this contract is $30,000 inclusive of travel. Proposals should be in alignment with this range.

Qualifications & Skills  

We are looking for someone with existing connections or work experience in Title X, a strong commitment to equitable reproductive and sexual health care, and demonstrated excellence in providing training and education to clinical audiences. Applicants should have 7+ years of professional experience and demonstrated success in building relationships that translate into meaningful partnership and collaboration. This engagement requires the ability to use in-house project management and file storage systems to make reports. It also requires the ability to create, document, and execute detailed outreach plans that communicate priorities, broad goals, and specific objectives, tactics and choice points for the work. The engagement will require a mix of in-person and virtual training, program outreach, relationship-building and group facilitation. Applicants based in the following Provide project states will be given priority in the application process: North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana.
