This vacancy is located in the Office of Policy, Innovation & Research and is an Unclassified position. Depending on experience, annual salary is $56,000 - $110,000.
This position develops and maintains subject matter knowledge/expertise on a variety of insurance public policy matters across insurance regulatory and related disciplines.
May develop more specialized expertise as needed to support the public policy initiatives of the Commissioner of Insurance.
Knowledge manager who facilitates shared understanding through collaboration from the processing of data into information to the sharing of knowledge throughout the department and with stakeholders. Coordinates and assists in preparing LDI responses on items moving through the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Committee Process and in monitoring the activities of the federal government, relative to insurance, the National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) and other legislative and insurance public policy groups.
Desired but not required background:
- Study or work in a field requiring research, analysis, and writing—economics, public policy, public administration, finance, or similar fields.
- Possession of a professional or terminal degree, e. g. Ph. D, MBA, MPA, or JD.
- Experience with writing grant proposals and the administration of grants
