ROLE OVERVIEW

The Georgia Justice Project (www.gjp.org) seeks a Development Campaign Manager to join our office staff part-time for 20-25 hours per week. The Campaign Manager will implement and manage all aspects of the combined $10m Capital and Planned Giving Campaigns through Spring 2026, including all solicitation phases of the campaign such as event planning, cultivation, and campaign publications & communications.

The Campaign Manager will work with the Development Director with the support of other communications and development staff and in partnership with the Executive Director on campaign strategy, including creating solicitation materials, establishing solicitation priorities, managing prospect lists, developing and executing targeted cultivation plans as well as solicitation strategies for a range of projects, preparing and providing support to staff, board members and volunteers for solicitation, and planning and managing cultivation events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Work with the Development Director and Executive Director to develop campaign strategy, materials, and setting campaign sub-goals

• Provide leadership to assure that campaign communications and cultivation event plans are met

• Identify prospects on the individual, corporation, and foundation levels

• Maintain prospect data with actions and results with technological tools (such as salesforce)

• Create and edit campaign communications, such as acknowledgments, follow-up letters, and newsletters

• Devise and manage logistics for cultivation events with Executive Director and campaign staff

• Coordinate site visits, recognition events and stewardship activities, from planning to execution and follow-up

• Manage the grants process with the Development Director

• Identify and cultivate steering committee and board members

• Plan and run steering committee meetings

• Manage visits and solicitations for staff, steering committee or board members

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree encouraged and 3-5 years of development experience, preferably with a capital campaign, including management and oversight, events, communications, cultivation, solicitation, and grant writing.

• Experience establishing planned giving a plus.

• Excellent writing and editing skills. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Publishing (Adobe, Canva, etc.) preferred.

• Experience supervising (or creating) brochures, tables, newsletters, and graphs a plus.

• Development database experience required, Salesforce is preferred

• Ability to meet deadlines with a proven track record of success

• Motivated, well organized, and a creative problem solver

• Ability to engage well with diverse groups of people

The role is Part-Time: 20-25 hours per week, a minimum of 5 hours per week in the office. Position requires local travel and some evening hours to support events.
