Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the contract position of a Senior Policy Advisor that is committed to developing and executing strategies to advocate for policies that support the deployment and integration of geothermal technologies. As the Senior Policy Advisor at Eavor, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the adoption and implementation of geothermal policy at the state level. You will work closely with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and advocacy groups to promote initiatives that accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future. This role is fully remote and based in the United States requiring local and international travel based on business needs.


Some of What you Will Do:


  • Policy Development: Research and analyze existing state policies related to geothermal deployment, identify gaps, and develop innovative policy recommendations to promote the adoption of geothermal technologies.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Build relationships with key stakeholders including state legislators, regulatory agencies, industry associations, environmental organizations, and community groups to advocate for policies that support geothermal deployment. Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and public hearings to advance geothermal policy objectives.
  • Legislative Strategy: Develop and implement legislative strategies to support the passage of geothermal energy bills, including drafting bill language, building coalitions, and mobilizing grassroots support. Monitor legislative activity and engage in lobbying efforts to promote favorable outcomes.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Engage with state regulatory bodies to influence rulemaking processes related to geothermal energy, ensuring that regulatory frameworks are conducive to the growth of geothermal technologies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align policy advocacy efforts with broader organizational goals. Coordinate with colleagues working on research, communications, and fundraising to support integrated advocacy campaigns.
  • Policy Analysis and Reporting: Track policy developments, legislative trends, and regulatory updates related to geothermal technology at the state level. Prepare policy briefs, memos, and reports to communicate key findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Some of What you Will Need:


  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, environmental studies, energy policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in state policy advocacy, government relations, or related roles, with a focus on energy or environmental issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clean energy technologies, renewable energy markets, and energy policy frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct policy research, analyze legislation, and synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders and communicate effectively with policymakers and the public.
  • Experience in coalition-building, grassroots organizing, and advocacy campaign management.
  • Familiarity with state legislative processes, regulatory procedures, and political dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize projects and tasks effectively
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop a plan and implement it accordingly
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
