What You’ll Do:
- Donor Program Management: Manage a middle-range donor program ($5,000-$25,000) through strategic development, cultivation, and follow-up.
- Donor Information Research & Tracking: Conduct in-depth donor prospecting and background research to help us expand our universe of donors. Maintain our donor database, records, departmental calendars, trackers, and other essential materials.
- Donor Outreach Support: Assist with preparation for principal call time and ensure appropriate follow-up. Prepare detailed briefings and meeting materials for principals and staff.
- Correspondence: Organize mailings and handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including drafting thank you notes and letters.
- Intern Management: Hire and manage intern tasks to support our fundraising efforts.
- Event Support: Build, support, and staff events as needed to engage and cultivate donors.
- Administrative Assistance: Provide additional administrative and logistical assistance as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent Communicator: Strong time-management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Fundraising Experience: Prior experience in fundraising is essential.
- Proactive: A self-starter who can take initiative and follow directions.
- CRM Familiarity: Experience with NGP VAN or a similar CRM is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Donor Research Experience: Previous experience conducting donor research and prospecting.
- Campaign Experience: Prior experience as an intern or full-time fundraising staff on a local, statewide, or federal campaign, at a PAC, nonprofit, or political organization.
Other Info:
- Location: Washington, DC Preferred. We are committed to finding the right person for the job and are open to candidates in other locations; though feel the position is best suited near our headquarters in DC.
- Salary: $60,000-$70,000, based on relevant fundraising experience.
- Benefits: Paid time off, immediate access to the organization’s 401(k) program with up to a 4% match, health care, dental and vision coverage, along with a stipend for cell phone use.
