Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate fundraising campaigns two or three times per year, including donor mailings, member and staff phone banking to donors, and MUA social media campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key donors.
  • Manage all logistics for our annual fundraising event, in coordination with an event planner. In 2025 it will be the MUA 35th Anniversary Gala.
  • Motivate the participation of staff, Board of Directors and members of the Grassroots Fundraising Committee in fundraising campaigns.
  • Manage our Salesforce database for planning campaigns and events, and mailings to donors.
  • Coordinate the annual sending of appreciation gifts to key donors.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bilingual; advanced level of spoken and written communication in Spanish and English.
  • Identify with the mission and values ​​of Mujeres Unidas y Activas.
  • Understanding the importance of the role of fundraising in social movements.
  • Experience with coordinating fundraising events or other large-scale events.
  • Warmth, friendliness and ability to maintain positive relationships with members, staff and donors.
  • Knowledge and handling of technological tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, among others.
  • Experience with databases (ideally Salesforce or similar platform) and/or interest in learning more.

Other key details:

Hours: This is a full-time, non-exempt position (40 hrs per week).

Location: Hybrid – an average of 2-3 days per week working in one of MUA’s offices. Each employee typically commutes most frequently to the office closest to them; however, flexibility is required to commute to any of the three offices depending on activities and needs.
