Job Description


The Cultural Heritage Programs Coordinator coordinates the development of cultural heritage programs in support of Public Diplomacy (PD) and Mission goals. Designs, plans, and implements activities to preserve tangible and intangible Ukrainian cultural heritage, strengthen civil society, encourage good governance, and expand Mission engagement. 


Major duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:



  • Project development and implementation:  plans, implements, and coordinates cultural heritage activities and thereby expand Mission access to opinion-makers and thought leaders. Manages all aspects of Ukrainian cultural heritage programs. Works closely with Department of States Cultural Heritage Office to administer the Ukraine Cultural Heritage Response Initiative and Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation, including translating and publicizing funding opportunities, evaluating and selecting proposals, monitoring and facilitating completion of grants and reporting progress. Serves as liaison to cultural heritage organizations and actors in Ukraine, including the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, museums, UNESCO, INGOs, and NGOs. 

  • Strategic planning, analysis, and evaluation;

  • Intra- and interagency coordination;

  • Administrative functions;

  • Other duties as assigned
