Summary

This position is located in the Bureau of Global Public Affairs, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Digital Content, Office of Audience and Distribution Strategy (GPA/DC/ADS). GPA carries out the Secretary's mandate to articulate the foreign policy of the United States and to communicate with and engage U.S. and global audiences. GPA/DC/ADS implements innovative digital systems to integrate and enhance GPA efforts to facilitate global strategic messaging.


Duties

Plans, organizes, and directs the division’s activities and budget; balances workload and provides advice, guidance, and direction on a wide range of issues to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives.

Directs GPA's influencer engagement and paid media campaigns portfolios. Directs to completion the design and implementation of partnerships and marketing campaigns related to the Secretary of State's communications with audiences.

Delivers SOPs and institutionalizes workflows, clearances, legal considerations, evaluation, policies, and more as related to influencer and paid portfolios.

Reviews and oversees staff in producing and analyzing the effectiveness of communications strategies.

Regularly consults, coordinates, and negotiates with Department leadership and other Bureaus on issues affecting DoS marketing and influencer engagement strategy.
