Job Description
The Senate Committee on Finance Majority is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to lead the Committee’s private health insurance, Medicare Advantage, and health tax portfolio. The Senior Policy Advisor will work on a highly collaborative team and be responsible for developing and evaluating legislation, assessing regulation, preparing materials for briefings and hearings, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting down dais and caucus member priorities. The candidate should be comfortable engaging with all Committee staff, coordinating on cross-cutting policy issues (e.g., cyber security, competition), and managing multiple priorities in a given day. 5 – 10 years of professional experience, including prior experience on Capitol Hill and with private health insurance and/or Medicare issues is preferred.
