Dudley Promise Corps (DPC) is an AmeriCorps program designed to provide academic support to students in two Boston Public Schools, Dudley Street Neighborhood Charter School (preK-5) and Dearborn STEM Academy (6-12). DPC is a great opportunity for anyone interested in exploring a career in education. Many DPC alumni are now currently working in BPS as paraprofessionals and teachers (through BTR).

Benefits. Beyond access to training and professional development, full-time DPC members are eligible to receive the following benefits:

  • Education award upon successful completion of service year ($7,395 for the 2024-25 program year)
  • Health insurance coverage 
  • Living stipend paid bi-monthly ($20,000 pre-tax)
  • Access to AmeriCorps service member training through Massachusetts Service Alliance
  • Student loan forbearance (may be eligible)

Eligibility

  • Be at least 17 years of age 
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED by the start of the program 
  • Be a US citizen or legal permanent resident 
  • Agree to state & federal background check
