Scope of Work

The Community Outreach Coordinator will expand the reach and profile of the 36th Annual New York LGBTQ+ Film Festival. This role will build and expand upon relationships with various non-profits throughout the city to cultivate a robust community presence for a wide array of festival films.

Dates

  • 8/26 – 9/1  /  5-10 hours a week
  • 9/1 – 10/21  /  20 hours a week
  • 10/21 – 10/25  /  5 hours a week

Duties and Responsibilities Include

Community Outreach

  • Ideate methods to engage our community partners, coordinate mutually beneficial partnerships, and deliver thoughtfully executed event, digital, or other partnerships
  • Collaborates with programming and marketing teams to determine a curated selection of co-presenters for films or events
  • Communicates with Development team to stay aligned on partnership outreach
  • Ideate possibilities for thoughtful and innovative ways to collaborate in fruitful partnerships 
  • Identify new community partners and engage existing community partners

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of non-profit experience
  • Experience building and cultivating relationships with various non-profits, organizations, and changemakers
  • Familiarity with the NYC non-profit and community organizing spaces
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with Airtable is a plus but not required
  • A film or film festival background is a plus, but is not required

Availability

On-site in Manhattan and Brooklyn during the festival (October 10-22, 2024) as needed

Most work can be completed remotely, but there will be in-office work hours available in the weeks leading up to the festival
