Summary
This position is located in the Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, Office of Policy and Resource Planning (PRM/PRP). PRP is responsible for generating and integrating the Bureau's policies and planning resources for over nearly 120 million forcibly displaced persons worldwide, as well as other conflict victims, stateless persons, vulnerable migrants, and other populations of concern.
Duties
Establishes work requirements, guidelines, and performance expectations for supervised staff, providing informal and formal performance counseling throughout the year.
Directs policy research and prepares policy guidance on selected key issues relevant to global PRM humanitarian assistance and protection programs.
Directs the Bureau's monitoring and evaluation program, ensuring policies and guidelines are implemented.
Develops, advocates, coordinates, and manages new and established complex programs to respond to humanitarian emergencies.
Conducts briefings and public outreach for the office, both to inform and influence policy formation and public opinion about humanitarian assistance
