Client Services/Management Director
A leading national public affairs firm is seeking a Client Management Director to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring 2-4 years of experience working in or closely with the Texas Legislature, coupled with a strong track record in government relations, public affairs, or advocacy. This role is ideal for a motivated and client-focused professional with a deep understanding of Texas legislative processes and a passion for delivering impactful results for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service and the development of strong, trusted relationships.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to support client goals, with a particular focus on Texas legislative advocacy and navigating state government processes.
- Monitor legislative activity and policy developments relevant to client priorities, providing timely updates, analysis, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including communications, policy, and grassroots advocacy specialists, to create and implement comprehensive public affairs campaigns.
- Attend legislative hearings, stakeholder meetings, and events to represent clients and advance their interests.
- Identify opportunities to grow client accounts and contribute to business development efforts, including drafting proposals and participating in pitch meetings.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience working in or closely with the Texas Legislature (e.g., legislative staff, government relations roles, or advocacy work).
- Strong understanding of Texas legislative and regulatory processes, including committee hearings, bill tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex policy issues to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients or projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience building coalitions and working collaboratively with stakeholders, policymakers, and advocacy groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public affairs, or a related field preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
