The Committee on House Administration Democratic Staff seeks an attorney to serve as Democratic Elections Counsel.

Responsibilities include developing, monitoring, and managing legislation, preparing for hearings, mark-ups and floor activity; writing memos, speeches, and talking points; and planning and executing legislative and oversight strategy.

Experience with election administration, election security, voting rights, ballot access, or campaign finance law is strongly preferred. The position requires strategic thinking, the ability to work independently as well as within a team, and outstanding oral and written communication skills. Policy or legal experience required; Hill experience preferred. Interested applicants should have a record of being proactive and demonstrating initiative. Ideal candidates must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. J.D. is required.
