Salary Range: $72,000-80,000

Position Summary 

The Director of Strategic Partnerships oversees the custom support department, business development, and strategic partnerships on behalf of TNP. As a vital member of the team, they work with the Executive Director to build and maintain strong relationships with constituencies, funders, expand customized support services, and enhance advocacy and awareness for TNP and the sector.

Our support includes affordable access to high-quality services that are needed by nonprofits today: programming and resources to strengthen individual and organizational capacity by providing leadership development, technical assistance, and backbone support, cultivating an ecosystem of skilled and effective leaders who impact through their communities, nonprofits, and public sector institutions.​ 

TNP serves community organizations across Southern California with a focus on Long Beach, the South Bay and the Gateway Cities.  

Major Responsibilities  

  • Based on best practices and addressing the needs of TNP’s constituency, oversee all business development for the organization including outreach to the regional nonprofit community to support their foundational needs and the regional business community. 
  • Seek opportunities to develop strategic TNP with public and private resources. Develop and implement resource development strategies for programs and services including meeting and developing relationships with potential funding partners and contributors.  
  • Promote TNP’s customized services through strategic stakeholder engagement, event participation, and other avenues of outreach in coordination with other TNP Program Directors and the Executive Director.  
  • Build sustainable relationships with community organizations. 
  • Manage consulting and customized support programming for TNP including supervision of custom support department, assessment of Client needs, Affiliate matching, and securing contracts. 
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to advocate and build awareness for nonprofits.  

 Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent years of experience required.  
  • 5+ years of experience working with or in community organizations with experience in nonprofit management, consulting or contracting management and leadership experience.   

Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and the aspects of successful nonprofit management. 
  • Knowledge of change management, organizational development, financial sustainability, leadership, human capital, marketing and communications, facilitation, etc. 
  • Strong project management and time management skills. 
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. 
  • Commitment to ethical and accountable practices. 
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable with changing community or team needs. 
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
