What we do:   

The International Relations and Country Risk Department in the International Policy and Strategy function is responsible for:

  • Monitoring and analyzing country developments and regional/global trends in support of the Bank's international operational and policy activities and external engagement;
  • Developing and deepening relationships with global central banks and governments, US government entities and private sector institutions, including planning, coordinating and executing external engagements and hosting international visitors to the Bank;
  • Coordinating across groups to ensure that insights gained from international engagements are effectively disseminated within the Bank to inform analysis and assessments;
  • Facilitating standing and ad-hoc cross-Bank teams to promote information sharing and analytical collaboration on international work.

The International Policy & Strategy Analysis Advisor reports to the Head of International Policy and Strategy and serves as a member of the IPS senior leadership team, serving as an advisor in the setting and execution of IPS Strategic Priorities.

Your role as International Policy & Strategy Analysis Advisor

  • Provide thought leadership to an analytical team focused on delivering written and verbal analysis of macroeconomic fundamentals, financial sector trends, and political developments across a broad set of countries and regions.
  • Support the development of high-quality analytical products by IPS to inform Bank senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Leverage internal country-level and regional analysis to help support identification and analysis of global themes and trends.
  • Develop and use relationships across the Bank, System, U.S. Treasury, and other policy organizations to inform IPS analysis and deliver on Bank objectives and operational priorities.

What we are looking for:  

  • Deep expertise in international economics and finance policy matters.
  • Experience with country risk analysis and a background providing macroeconomic, financial sector, and political analysis for senior level executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, synthesize and apply a range of information and experience quickly.

Salary Range: $250000 - $350000 / year
