Summary: 

Piedmont Environmental Alliance seeks an experienced part-time Environmental Education Program Manager to update and expand our environmental education programs and events.

 Responsibilities:

  • Manage PEA’s education programs, including in-classroom programs, teacher trainings, and events.
  • Supervise, train, and support AmeriCorps Resilience Corps Service Member and team of volunteers to achieve programmatic goals.
  • Update environmental education curricula in line with common core standards, current research, and innovative new ideas.
  • Create and implement new recruitment strategies and training modules for environmental education volunteers to build program capacity.
  • Develop environmental education summer programming with partners, for example camps or one-day events.
  • Plan and host a field trip for high school students to engage in hands-on outdoor learning at a local green space.
  • Work with partners at WS/FCS to develop and launch a summer professional development workshop focused on integrating environmental education into classroom curricula.
  • Maintain and strengthen key partnerships to develop collaborative projects and ensure program success.
  • Collect and analyze key performance indicators for programs and make recommendations based on specific metrics.
  • Support key PEA events, including the Piedmont Earth Day Fair and Environmental Debate Tournament.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
