The Office of Senator Adam Schiff seeks an in-state Political and Policy Advisor to advise Senator, maintain a statewide political network, and travel with the Senator engaging in significant stakeholder and policy development. The ideal candidate will have policy and campaign experience, be interested in digging into complex issues and be adept at developing new relationships.

Responsibilities include traveling with and staffing the Senator at a high level when he is in-state, working closely with regional staff to develop new issue areas and deepen relationships, representing the Senator at meetings and events, and helping provide strategic guidance to senior staff and Senator. Primary responsibilities also include maintaining and continuing to develop the Senator’s political network with an eye towards creating new opportunities and relationships across coalitions, interest groups, labor, and communities.

This is an in-person position and a member of senior staff. Salary is commensurate with experience. At least 6-8 years of experience in government, campaigns and/or communications is expected.
