Job Announcement: Administrative & Finance Associate

Physicians for Social Responsibility - Los Angeles (PSR-LA) has experienced significant growth over the past two years and we are currently seeking an Administrative & Finance Associate who will work closely with the organization’s leadership team to support financial operational functions.

Responsibilities: The Associate will support PSR-LA’s leadership team in the areas of bookkeeping, data entry, scheduling, office management, and upkeep of administrative and technological systems. This is an exciting opportunity to help support efforts to address some of the country’s most urgent environmental health

and nuclear threat issues while transforming social and health justice systems.

Qualifications/Skills:

● Commitment to public health and social, environmental and racial justice

● Extremely detailed oriented, self-directed and resourceful

● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment

● Understanding of QuickBooks or other accounting software required

● Familiarity with payment platform such as Bill.com

● Familiar with generally accepted accounting principles and non-profit accounting preferred

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database programs

● Experience in project coordination

● Technologically savvy and comfortable navigating and learning new technology systems

● Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

● Ability to learn new skills that the job requires

● Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and the medical and public health community preferred

● Able to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions

Employment Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt Salaried

Location: The position is based in Los Angeles, CA. We are temporarily working remotely and moving to a Hybrid structure, however, qualified applicants should reside in the Metro Los Angeles region and be able to work in a Los Angeles-based office.

Compensation: Salary ranging from $65,000 - $72,000 based on experience. PSR-LA offers a robust benefits package that includes: 100% employer-paid platinum healthcare, dental, vision, Life Insurance, chiropractic, and acupuncture for employees, spouses, and dependents. We have 13 paid holidays, 10+ days paid days off at the end of the year in addition to 2 weeks PTO. We offer professional development, a $100 a month internet stipend, and a one-time $500 home office set-up stipend.
