Job Description
The North Dakota Native Vote Field Organizer is a flexible, all-around role that supports
campaigns and capacity-building efforts. This position requires adaptability, strong
communication skills, and a commitment to grassroots community organizing,
leadership development, civic engagement, and public policy advocacy. We are looking
for the ideal candidate who can build trusting relationships with people from all walks

community solutions that support thriving communities and families. The position

commitment to personal learning, growth and development. Candidates will recruit new
stakeholders, organizers, and community champions to empower our communities to
take action.
Job Duties
- Engage and mobilize community members around key issues affecting Native communities.
- Build relationships with tribal leaders, community members, and partner organizations to strengthen grassroots networks.
- Organize and co-facilitate community meetings, listening sessions, and educational workshops.
- Provide on-the-ground support for electoral and issue-based campaigns, including field canvassing.
- Assist in developing campaign strategies and messaging that resonate with community priorities.
- Track campaign metrics, participation data, and community engagement levels.
- Identify and train emerging community leaders to sustain advocacy efforts.
- Support the creation of educational materials and toolkits for community empowerment.
- Handle logistics, including securing venues, managing supplies, and coordinating volunteers.
- Support digital outreach efforts, including social media updates, email campaigns, and website content.
- Assist in crafting press releases, opinion pieces, and other media content to elevate key issues.
- Maintain organized records of contacts, campaign activities, and engagement efforts.
- Assist in grant reporting and data tracking for capacity-building initiatives.
- Perform other duties as needed to support organizational and campaign goals.
Job Qualifications
- Strong commitment to grassroots organizing and community empowerment.
- Some experience in community organizing, advocacy, or campaign work, especially in Native communities preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
- Ability to develop and execute outreach strategies, including door-to-door canvassing and face-to-face interaction.
- Experience in event planning, volunteer coordination, and logistical support for community initiatives.
- Proficiency in using social media, email platforms, and basic digital tools for organizing and outreach.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track engagement data and campaign metrics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to respond to evolving campaign needs.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Familiarity with tribal governance, local policy issues, and legislative advocacy is a plus.
- Sufficient computer knowledge with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and web conferencing.
