GCPA is seeking a passionate, energetic and motivated individual to join our team as a Canvasser in Georgia! Canvassers play a crucial role in engaging with voters, rising awareness about the importance of The Peoples Agenda Voter registration . This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on local communities as well, This role is vital in expanding our voter base and ensuring that more citizens have opportunity to participate in the process of voting. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, outgoing, and enthusiastic about civic engagement.

The People's Agenda is looking to fulfill positions in :

Middle Georgia

Must be 18 years old or older

Responsibilities:

1. Door-to-Door Canvassing: Engage with residents in designated neighborhoods through door-to-door canvassing efforts

2. Voter Outreach: Conduct voter registration and education activities to increase voter participation and ensure that eligible citizens are registered to vote.

3. Data Collection: Collect and record voter information, feedback, and concerns.

4. Community Engagement: Attend community events, meetings, and forums to represent the GPCA, distribute informational materials, and build relationships with community members.

5. Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions and skill-building workshops to enhance canvassing techniques, communication skills, and knowledge of GPCA platforms.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow canvassers, volunteers, and campaign staff to coordinate outreach efforts, share best practices, and achieve collective goals.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and build rapport quickly.
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and adapt to changing priorities and environments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on campaign needs and voter availability.
  • Previous experience in canvassing, community organizing, or political campaigning is preferred but not required.
  • Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned canvassing areas.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
