Job Description
(Hybrid Schedule)
The Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) is a non-partisan, public-interest law firm, committed to fighting for immigration policies that serve national interests, not special interests. IRLI believes that immigration reform must enhance national security, improve the economy, protect jobs, preserve our environment, and establish a rule of law that is recognized and enforced. IRLI’s boutique-sized staff and expertise in immigration law enables us to offer premier legal services to individuals, organizations, and government officials in federal and state courts and before government agencies.
In addition to legal services, IRLI uses public records laws to expose public officials who undermine our immigration system and to educate the American public regarding the harmful impact of uncontrolled immigration on national security, jobs, education, health care, and the environment. National media outlets regularly quote IRLI and publish articles and special reports on our public records findings, including The Washington Times, Reuters, USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg News, USA Today, Fox News, Conservative Review, The Daily Caller, Breitbart, The Washington Examiner, and LifeZette, among others.

- Formulating and drafting public records requests, requests for investigation, and administrative complaints
- Overseeing public records requests through the administrative process, including the appeals process

- Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities

This position is located in IRLI’s headquarters in Washington, DC. The position is exempt, full-time. Hybrid Schedule: In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Telework Monday and Friday. IRLI offers a generous benefits package, including health and dental insurance and 403(b) contributions. The salary range of $130k - $150k is commensurate with experience.
