Job Description

The Development Director is responsible for strategizing, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive annual development/fundraising program, along with major and planned gifts, corporate sponsorships, government and foundation granting, special events fundraising, and the development of other contributed revenue opportunities. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Development Director works with executive leadership and senior management (including the Marketing Director and Audience Services Manager) to develop an effective fundraising strategy, coordinate and oversee donor and sponsor cultivation and stewardship, and assist with capital fundraising and planned giving initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a track record in annual fund and/or capital fund campaigns. The Development Director plays a pivotal role in the advancement of the institutional profile of Bloomington’s professional theater and film organization.

  • Development/Fundraising Budgeting & Reporting

 

Relevant Skills & Experience:

  • Customer Relationship Management Software and/or Donor Management Software Experience

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work in a typical office environment
  • Able to climb stairs
  • Able to use computers for email communication and document creation

 

Hours

Approx. 40 hours/week. Typically M-F, but some evenings and weekends may be required.

Salary & Benefits

Annual salary: $45,000 60,000
