The Office of Senator-elect Schiff is seeking a Legislative Aide to assist on a number of different portfolios. The ideal candidate will be self-starting, detail-oriented, willing to take on any task, and able to juggle multiple assignments at one time. Above all else, candidates should be team players interested in growing their policy and legislative skills, and working closely with a team to achieve bipartisan results.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with senior legislative team members on multiple complex portfolios to develop and research legislation, preparing memos and background for the Senator, taking constituent meetings, and other duties as assigned. Duties may also include assisting with mail operations while the office is setting up. Applicants should have 2-4 years of previous Hill, campaign experience or other relevant policy expertise. California ties are a plus should be noted and previous experience as a legislative correspondent or aide required. 

This is a full-time in-person position. Salary begins at $68,000. This position is eligible for all Senate employee benefits. Senator-elect Schiff’s office is an equal opportunity employer.
