JOB DESCRIPTION:

Title: Vice President - Government Affairs


• Position based in the Washington, DC Office, reporting to the President of the D.C. office.

• This position will play an important role in the firm’s federal advocacy before Congress and the Administration.

• The individual will help to develop lobbying strategies for the firm’s client priorities and actively engage federal government officials and staff.

• The individual should have a broad network of Hill and/or Administration contacts including the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Congressional Black Caucus and members and staff of the House and Senate.

• Attend congressional meetings and hearings, policy conferences, fundraising events, and other political, business, and networking functions at the direction of the President of the DC office and the CEO.

• Research, analyze and track federal legislation and rulemaking relevant to the firm’s clients.

• Prepare documents for internal and external use (briefing memos, talking points, position papers, legislative updates, letters, testimony, draft legislation, etc.).

• Collaborate with, and support D.C. office President in all D.C. office functions including monitoring the legislative calendar and conducting research as directed.

• A minimum of 6 years of Congressional office legislative work…and/or…Hill lobbying experience required.

• Salary commensurate with experience.

• Register as federal lobbyist based on client needs.
