Regional Organizing Director
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) regularly assists campaigns and state parties by recruiting applicants for roles involved in Senate races. Regional Organizing Directors (RODs) will hire and manage a team of Organizers, and be accountable for all quantitative and qualitative metrics in their region. Regional Organizing Directors will report to a Deputy Organizing Director.
These roles will be based in states across the country, and will require in person work.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
- At least 2 cycles of organizing experience, with a strong preference for at least 1 cycle of experience training teams of staff, leaders, interns, and / or volunteers
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to communicate priorities in both 1:1 and group settings; especially as applied to building a strong, inclusive management culture that is solutions-oriented and positive for all staff members
- A strong understanding of Google Suite and VAN, and an eagerness to use data to coach staff
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work long, irregular hours; including weekends
- Attention to detail, highly-developed organizational skills, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders across all levels of our organization, both verbally and in writing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and manage a team of Organizers across assigned region to reach weekly volunteer recruitment and voter contact goals, with a focus on in-person volunteer engagement
- Develop strategies and systems that lead your team of Organizers to successfully meet short-term and long-term organizing metrics, adhere to established data standards, and ensure data integrity
- Take initiative to build trust with and establish regular coordination with key Democratic stakeholders, candidates, Central Committees, and other relevant organizations in the region
- Consistently meet deadlines, communicate programmatic updates and priorities to Organizers, and share salient feedback and recommendations with state leadership
- Motivate entry-level staff to flourish in a fast-paced and rigorous campaign environment by facilitating daily check-in/out calls, 1:1 meetings, weekly trainings, and regular team meetings
- Commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ticket
- Willing to relocate to a battleground state
