LAEDA (Latin American Economic Development Association Inc.) is a community economic non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through economic development and business ownership. Our Women’s Business Center (WBC) is the only SBA-funded center in Southern New Jersey, providing essential support to women entrepreneurs facing barriers to starting and growing their businesses.


Position Overview:

We are seeking an Assistant Program Manager to support the execution of our WBC’s mission. In this role, you will assist in implementing programs, generating reports, and connecting women entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed. You will work closely with our Program Manager and collaborate with community partners to expand our impact across Camden and surrounding counties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the WBC Program Manager in executing the Annual Work Plan and preparing reports.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Women’s Business Center.
  • Collaborate with the LAEDA Business Services Center to provide tailored support to women entrepreneurs, including business training, counseling, and matchmaking services to connect clients with sources of capital.
  • Facilitate access to financial resources by building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions, investors, and community development organizations.
  • Guide clients through the process of securing funding to start or expand their businesses, including helping them prepare loan applications, business plans, and financial projections.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to promote WBC services in our service areas: Camden, Gloucester, Cumberland, Atlantic, Salem, Burlington, and Cape May counties.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, community development, or a related field.
  • Experience in small business development, entrepreneurship, or community economic development.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills; bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel as needed.
