We are seeking a proactive and innovative Manager to lead our district-wide

sustainability and conservation program at Lake Washington School District.

This role involves strategic leadership, coordination, and in-depth

implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability across our

schools and facilities and optimizing resource consumption.


As the Sustainability & Resource Conservation Manager, you will be

responsible for overseeing all aspects of our efforts. Reporting to the Deputy

Superintendent, you will partner directly with the Executive Director of

Support Services, the Directors of Elementary and Secondary Education, the

Directors of Teaching & Learning to spearhead the development, planning,

and execution of projects aligned with our policy and program objectives.

SALARY Central Administrator – Level 1 -  Step 1 $112,595.00 - Step 2 $114,893.00 (based on 24-25 salary schedule) / 261 days. This is an exempt position. Full benefit package available.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
  • Preferred experience in conservation program management, energy efficiency, or sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and policies related to energy and resource conservation as it relates to school districts in Washington State.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging district leaders, students, staff, families, community partners in service of promoting conservation practices and sustainability.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:


Generally, the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. The job

is performed indoors under minimal temperature changes and a generally hazard

free environment. The usual and customary methods of performing the functions

of this job require the following physical demands:


• Frequent reaching, handling, etc.

• Seldom lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling.

• Seldom climbing and balancing

• Seldom stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling.
