Job Description
The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs seeks a Staff Assistant to support both Democratic and Republican Committee staff. Applicants for this non-designated position should have well-tested customer service skills; be able to work independently; handle multiple tasks; be detail-oriented; and highly organized. They should also show enthusiasm for public service to Native communities and a willingness to work as part of a team regardless of party affiliation. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: answering telephones, greeting and escorting visitors, and serving as the first point of interaction between constituents and the committee. Hill or equivalent administrative experience is preferred. The Committee is an equal employment opportunity employer and encourages individuals from all backgrounds to apply.
