Job Description

Senator Tim Sheehy seeks to hire a proactive, resourceful individual responsible for the success of front-office operations and administrative tasks. Applicants should have experience working on the Hill.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintains front office operations, including answering telephones and responding to voicemails, greeting visitors, assisting with the internship program, and completing other administrative tasks as required.
  • Schedules Washington, DC tours for constituents; leads and trains interns to tour the U.S. Capitol building; maintains visitor literature, including tour information, maps, and Senate gallery passes.
  • Handles constituents’ service requests, including processing requests for U.S. and state flags.
  • Draft congratulatory or commemorative letters and general requests for government publications, bills, and speeches.
  • Supports the office’s mailroom operation; ensures that all incoming postal and electronic mail is appropriately processed, screened, and routed to appropriate staff; enters constituent mail into the office’s correspondence management system.
  • Drive Senator to events and activities.


Preferred Experience:

  • 1+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Hill internship.
  • Knowledge of congressional schedules and operations.
  • Demonstrate success in high-level organizational skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Interpersonal skills that value friendliness, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Clean driving record.
