The PA Democratic Party’s 2024 Coordinated Campaign is seeking hardworking and passionate Campus Fellows eager to jump right in engaging their campus community in this critical election year.

This is an educational opportunity for anyone passionate about advancing the priorities of young people through electoral politics. Campus Fellows will learn how to contact and motivate voters, execute voter contact plans (tabling, door knocking, texting and calling), and participate in content creation.

There will be opportunities for fellows to pilot their own ideas as they support Coordinated Campaign staff. Fellows will gain extensive networking opportunities and acquire new skills and valuable professional development opportunities.

Campus Fellows should be able to dedicate 15-18 hours weekly to campaign work. They will be organized, possess a strong social battery, and be willing to engage with their peers and strangers about politics. Campus Fellows will report to a Campus Organizer.

Responsibilities

  • Mobilizing their own network and diverse student campus communities to help elect Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot

  • Planning, recruit for, attend, and staff weekly campus events ranging from teach-ins to candidate visits to workshops and fun competitions, in collaboration with Campus Organizers

  • Creating content for and engaging on different media platforms to reach students where they’re at in online spaces both on and off campus

  • Learning how to use different tools and manage data for voter contact programs

  • Knocking doors, conducting high-traffic canvassing (cafeterias, pedestrian areas, etc.), texting and phonebanking

  • Building relationships with campus organizations and activist groups friendly to Democratic campaigns

  • Attending regular all-hands check-ins facilitated by Campus Regional Organizing Directors

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a four-year college/university or a community/technical college

  • A strong commitment to electing the history-making Harris/Walz ticket, and Democrats up and down the ballot this November

  • An excitement about empowering your peers to get involved in the political process

  • A strong work ethic and ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask
