Organization:

SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley

Position Overview:

Designs and implements the strategic and ongoing development in a defined geographic area to provide healthcare programs and other services to vulnerable populations. Manages multiple projects and resources including leading and securing funds for community health programs and initiatives. Coordinates and manages all community benefit activities in alignment with Sutter Health goals. Develops and maintains relationships with key community and business leaders across various communities and issue areas while identifying potential collaborative partners and efforts aimed to positively impact the community. Lastly, oversees the active engagement of program implementation, assists with budget develop, and program evaluation within the assigned geography.

Job Description:

This role requires the candidate to be local to the Sacramento area. Candidate will attend various meetings, etc. on site. Candidate has the option to work from home when not on site for meetings, etc.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor's: Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:


8 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Working knowledge of the strategic planning process.

Demonstrated knowledge of working with volunteer community groups.

Significant understanding of community-based organizations, local and statewide foundations, and government agencies.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.

Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.

Negotiate or exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.
