About the Position:

The Volunteer Coordinator is passionate about the mission of NOMV and supporting volunteers as they navigate the many opportunities to support NOMV as  volunteers. In this role, the Volunteer Coordinator (remote) will be primarily responsible for the coordination of volunteer onboarding, support, and engagement while collaborating with the entire NOMV team. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate the end-to-end operations for international volunteer placements, from applications, screening, vetting, to onboarding and deployment, and continued volunteer engagement and appreciation. 
  • Manage and respond to all general volunteer related inquiries and represent NOMV at various meetings, conferences, and events, as needed, both in person and virtually. 
  • Coordinate recruitment through collaboration on social media, newsletter, and other outreach activities. 
  • Coordinate and follow up on training, development and placement of volunteers. 
  • Collaborate on and support the evaluation of volunteer programming throughout NOMV.
  • Co-develop strategy to ensure volunteer appreciation and engagement. 
  • Responsible for ensuring the  CRM management to track volunteer hours, duties, and activities. 
  • Annual or bi-annual volunteer feedback.
  • Co-create, produce and distribute marketing materials in support of volunteer activities. 
  • Coordinate and execute timely and appropriate recognition of volunteers. 
  • Ensure volunteer SOP and job descriptions are up to date and accurate. 
  • Collaborate with NOMV departments to ensure volunteer objectives are met. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum 4 years work experience in nonprofit 
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with volunteer leadership in a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Google Suite is highly desired.
  • Experience with Salesforce nonprofit is highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of fund development and communications.
  • Must be willing and able to work from home.
  • Background working in the mental health field is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly desired.
