Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the the Government and Community Relations team. This is a new position that will report to our Vice President of Government & Community Relations, Director of Strategy & Government Partnerships, and Director of Events & Sponsorship.

Position:
Department Manager 2 (Operations Manager 2)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location: Irvine - Hybrid - *Requires working 3 days per week at the corporate office in Irvine*
Salary: $74k-$111,000k annually

Responsibilities:
  • Intake/Consulting
  • Conduct Needs Assessment: Performs basic intake assessments with business units to identify primary
    needs and relay relevant information to the functional team for solution design.
  • Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Keeps updated on industry trends and relevant regulations to support
    the team in recommending process improvements.
  • Shares key insights during team meetings.
  • Support Strategic Planning:Assists in gathering data and drafting recommendations to inform the development of strategic plans, based on preliminary analyses of stakeholder needs.
  • Day-to-Day Operations:
  • Communicate Talent Management Approaches: Shares and communicates standard talent management
    practices and data insights with stakeholders to build understanding of solutions.
  • Support Strategy Implementation: Helps implement talent management strategies and tools to support
    business response to opportunities; provides feedback to enhance tools and assessments.
  • Presentation Preparation and Documentation: Creates basic presentations, memos, and visual aids,
    ensuring accuracy and clarity. Maintains organized files and records.
  • Collaborate on Diagnostics and Data Presentation: Partners with team members to share information and
    standardize diagnostics, analysis, and reporting techniques.
  • Streamline Resource Allocation: Helps track resources and captures insights for effective resource
    assignment to projects.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Conduct Vendor Research: Conducts initial research to identify potential vendors, assess their offerings,
    and assists in evaluating quality, pricing, and reliability.
  • Support Vendor Relationship Management: Assists in maintaining vendor relationships by helping organize
    communication and tracking performance and service levels.
  • Track Vendor Deliverables: Monitors and documents vendor performance to ensure deliverables meet
    expectations and escalates issues as needed.
  • Program Planning:
  • Support Functional Team Initiatives: Contributes to planning and implementation of programs by gathering
    data and drafting summaries of findings for functional teams.
  • Assist in Process Improvement: Helps in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate program outcomes and
    identifies areas for improvement.
  • Report Program Progress: Prepares status updates on functional program initiatives, detailing progress,
    gaps, and successes.
  • Stakeholder Liaison:
  • Facilitate Communication Between Teams: Acts as a liaison by ensuring accurate information exchange between various functions and teams.
  • Organize Meetings and Workshops: Schedules and support meetings or workshops, documenting action items, and sharing follow-up notes with relevant stakeholders.
  • Gather Stakeholder Feedback: Collects feedback from stakeholders to ensure their needs and concerns are documented and communicated to the appropriate teams.
  • Project Management:
  • Assist in Project Coordination: Provides support to ongoing projects by coordinating tasks, tracking project milestones, and reporting progress to stakeholders.
  • Document Project Information: Ensures all project-related information is accurately recorded and shared with relevant team members.
  • Support Budget Tracking: Helps monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure adherence to project goals and organizational priorities.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • BA degree

Experience:

3-5 Years of Experience or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the job successfully.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Understanding of industry awareness of the stakeholder requirements through appropriate “Intaking
    skills" would be strongly preferred.
  • Improved program and project management skills with the ability to collaborate and influence multiple
    stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and implement multiple and shifting tasks.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written skills with all levels of staff and the public.
  • Ability to skillfully deal with internal associates and external partners respectfully, professionally and with
    diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise a high level of discretion.
  • Ability to be focused and flexible while shifting/changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability in preparing accurate information for presentation via research, writing and
    compilation of data.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements. Must pass all drug testing required by ESSC.
