Field Organizer

Jewish Voters Unite is mobilizing the Jewish community to vote in NYC elections. We work to increase civic engagement, voter participation, and advocacy on issues important to the Jewish community.

Field organizers will: 

• Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of their assigned area for registration campaigns and GOTV in 2025.
• Recruit and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration and canvassing events.
• Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
• Commit to daily canvassing, phone banking, and voter engagement events.
• Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with volunteers and partner organizations.
• Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data to the Field Manager.
• Work with Field Manager and JVU Staff to implement organizational goals across the city.
• Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events in your districts.

Job Requirements:

• Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship)
• A background in i360,or MiniVan is preferred.
• Full availability for the last two weeks before an Election is required.
• Ability to work long and unusual hours (some weekends and nights).
• Detail-oriented and comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
• Positive attitude and a commitment and passion for mobilizing the Jewish community.
