Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a public affairs specialist for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS


  • Secret clearance, eligible to upgrade to TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, or related field
  • US Government public affairs experience


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS


  • USAF public affairs experience


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Creates and carries out commander’s information program by providing effective and efficient communication tools (i.e., newsletters, presentations, etc.) where appropriate to link Total Force Airmen with their leaders. Creates awareness of and support for the mission, reduces the spread of rumors and misinformation, and provides avenues for feedback.
  • Manages Security and Policy Review (S&PR) program. Reviews presentations, documents, articles, books, etc., and ensures that the correct paperwork is properly completed for the approval authority at the 66 ABG/PA at Hanscom AFB, MA. Funnels information between the requestor and the 66 ABG/PA to maintain proper coordination. Regularly reminds CCSD personnel that any item released to the public must go through S&PR before release.
  • Develops partnerships/relationships with area public affairs offices to further advance the mission.
  • Provides photographic services as requested or when host unit 502d ABW/PA is unable to support.
  • Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning and mission support.
  • As a key member of the Division Action Group, assists with event planning, protocol, and audio equipment support as needed.
