The Benefits Plus Learning Center (BPLC) at CSS has been awarded a contract to work with NYC Public Schools, the Mayor's Office of Child Care, the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), and the Department of Social Services (DSS) to support the expansion of outreach for—and enrollment in—childcare and early childhood education programs for children under five years old in New York City.

The position is available for an immediate start and runs through June 30, 2025.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Benefits Plus Learning Center (BPLC) staff and select City agency staff to develop a childcare/3-K/Pre-K training curriculum
  • Provide in-person and virtual training to community partners on both fundamental and advanced aspects of childcare and 3-K and Pre-K eligibility, enrollment, advocacy, etc.
  • Use a platform called Teachable to create self-paced learning modules, share resources, and foster a learning community
  • Utilize a system to track and evaluate training. Follow up with participants, as needed.
  • Schedule and facilitate case consultation calls/meetings with City staff and CBOs as needed to augment trainings.
  • Ensure that all trainees have access to the Benefits Plus Online manual and other relevant materials.
  • Oversight of grants management and deliverables.
  • Other responsibilities as identified by funding authority and/or BPLC team.

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in education studies, social work, sociology, public policy, or a related field.
  • Project management experience, including strong time management, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Public and/or nonprofit work history.
  • Expertise in childcare, 3-K and Pre-K programs, enrollment processes, and applications preferred.
  • Experience with creating self-paced learning modules, preferably using the Teachable platform preferred.
  • Experience with Classpoint for PowerPoint preferred.
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting educational materials preferred.

Salary and Benefits: The annual salary for this position is $70,165.66. CSS currently offersa hybrid work environment requiring at least two days of onsite work at CSS’ office, and three days per week of remote work.
