The PA Democratic Party’s 2024 Coordinated Campaign is hiring hardworking and experienced Campus Regional Organizing Directors (RODs) eager to jump right in activating Pennsylvania's diverse young voter and volunteer base in this critical election year. Campus RODs will be responsible for managing a team of organizers and paid part-time fellows located on key campuses across the commonwealth.

We are seeking creative individuals passionate about empowering students with the tools they need to mobilize their peers in this fight for the soul of our nation.

Campus RODs will be expected to be located within their region, ideally close to one of the universities they are managing. This position reports to the Campus Deputy Organizing Director and is based in-person in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring, training, and managing a team of campus organizers and part-time fellows towards daily and weekly volunteer engagement and voter contact metrics

  • Coaching a team of campus organizers and part-time fellows in the execution of standard voter contact activities, including (but not limited to): on-campus events, high traffic canvassing, dorm storming, phonebanks, friendbanks, and content creation and sharing

  • Building on and off campus volunteer infrastructure necessary for success, including identifying and engaging with existing student groups and online communities to recruit volunteers, build relationships, and foster connection with the campaign

  • Motivating entry-level staff to flourish in a fast-paced and rigorous campaign environment by facilitating daily check-in/out calls, 1:1 meetings, and regular team meetings

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least two (2) cycles of organizing experience with staff management responsibilities and/or campus organizing experience preferred

  • A driver’s license, reliable access to a vehicle, and the ability to relocate if necessary

  • A strong understanding of Google Suite and VAN

  • Connections to PA and/or alumni status are a plus

  • A strong commitment to electing the history-making Harris/Walz ticket, and Democrats up and down the ballot this November

  • An excitement about empowering young people to get involved in the political process

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • A strong work ethic and ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask

  • Willingness to manage a diverse team with different experiences and perspectives, and a commitment to helping them grow and succeed

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work long, irregular hours; including weekends
