Position Overview

This role requires a candidate with a strong blend of technical expertise and project management acumen, ready to make a significant impact on public health initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead comprehensive project management efforts, including defining project scope, coordinating with partners, managing tasks, and ensuring timely project delivery. Utilize JIRA for effective task management and tracking.
  • Process Development: Ability to think through complicated processes and develop simple, efficient solutions.
  • Task Management: Oversee and manage project tasks, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives. Delegate tasks as needed to facilitate unit and cross-unit progress. 
  • Data Solution Development & Integration: Assist in the design, development, and ongoing support of an integrated data system for local public health. Manage the system’s business needs, including development, integration, change management, training, and user support.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal partners, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the data solution meets public health best practices and standards. Identify areas of overlap and integration to streamline efforts across DPH and local public health entities.
  • PMO Support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of PMO standards, processes, and best practices. Provide guidance on project governance, risk management, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in public health, data science, or a related field are required.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in project management, including managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  •  Highly desirable qualifications include experience in public health, environmental health inspections, data systems, change management, and formative research. 
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Experience in a consulting environment and a strong understanding of public health initiatives are also highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Expected range is $70,000 - 90,000/annually, commensurate with experience.
