Senior Manager - Water Resources - Remote w Benes Flexibility & Open Vacation


This successful environmental consulting firm is growing and has built a reputation for integrity and trust. The Senior Manager (SM) for Water Resources is responsible for managing staff, client relationships, and complex projects for water and wastewater infrastructure clients.


Seeking a pro with experience in management of detailed CEQA documentation, compliance and resource permitting for water sector projects, particularly for water resource agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ideal candidates will have extensive water sector client relationships, and bring about 14 years of experience, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to manage contracts, clients and other team members. This position is part of the firm’s leadership team, providing business direction to grow the water resources practice internally and externally.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Environmental Planning, Biology, Hydrology, Geology, Nat Res, or related discipline.
  • 14 years of related work experience: or an M.S. degree with a min of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of CEQA, NEPA, and environmental regulatory processes and technical topics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating tech savvy in details and data mgt.
  • Experience delivering presentations and facilitating client and stakeholder meetings.
  • Management experience, mentoring & training Environmental Analysts & Environmental Planners.
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated work ethic and dedication to meeting commitments.
