Job Description
Little Island is seeking two (2) Producers to join the Artistic Programming team. Each Producer works closely with the Director of Artistic Programming and the Associate Producing Artistic Director on the cultivation and execution of assigned projects in support of Little Island’s artistic goals. They are advocates for artists and excel in balancing creativity with the logistics needed to bring new work from ideation to fruition. The Producers collaborate with various roles and departments to build and execute Little Island’s programming season, ensuring that all performances and events are successful, that artists have the resources they need, and that designated projects are delivered on time and within budget. Even outside of the busy programming season from June through September, development and rehearsals continue year-round.

- In conjunction with Production Management, create and manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are communicated clearly and achieved successfully, solving any problems that arise.
- Facilitate communication of project information among internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and foster collaboration.
- Oversee assigned Assistant Producer on the execution of project logistics and the tracking and managing of project expenses.

- Provide onsite coverage for rehearsals, previews, tech notes sessions, production meetings, press events, and performances, and any other company events as required.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Artistic Programming, Associate Producing Artistic Director and other programming team members to create sustainable practices for planning and executing Little Island’s programming season.
- Represent Little Island while creating and maintaining meaningful artistic relationships.
- Offer planning and strategy insights to ensure effective teamwork across various departments.
- Partner with the Production Manager to ensure that programming activity integrates well into daily park operations.
- Directly manage and develop seasonal and year-round staff as assigned.
